DP-S1 Region Free Setting COde

Ive read in a few posts that the DP-S1 is capable of watching DVDs from other regions.
However every link to a forum page that has the process nets me a 404 error (page does not exist)
Anyone know the process/code?

Im running an DP-S1 on firmware DPS1-01.05.350

It has been quite a while since I set up a DP-S1, but when I looked up my old settings records I found the following:

DVD Region Free:
With no menus onscreen, press the ‘Setup’ button on the remote and then using the number buttons type DVDFREE. You will then see a popup message stating that the S1 is now Region Free.
In newer Firmwares, the setting remains permanent. However, it may need to be re-applied after a firmware upgrade.

Yes that 404 error on the old web page links is anoying.
Please note the works provided you don't press the number buttons multiple times to get the letters.
So dvdfree = 3833733 not 38883333773333
Then the message comes up.

So the DVD's suddenly stopped getting recognized?
Says insert disk when already loaded????
Anyone experienced this and and tips or tricks or hardware issue?
Solution?
All other features work.

Yes my DP-S1 has done the same and will not play DVDs any more. Have swapped drive unit but both my units are doing the same now.
I suspect the DVD drive unit is the problem.
