Rock N Roll TV

Post by crippstor » Tue Mar 16, 2010 17:22

Not sure if anyone else can replicate this issue, but the last 2 times I have selected Rock n Roll TV, in the last 2 weeks, it has caused a totally blank display and the remote to become unresponsive to all commands except "off".

Have you tried clearing the cache first?

(You'll need the latest firmware I think)

I've got 320 so I'll try that and see how it goes.

No luck with the cache clearing. My TV normally has a blue screen and this is the "blank display" I used to get after selecting "rock n roll tv", after clearing the cache, I simply get a black screen and the same unresponsiveness to commands.
Not a big issue just a little annoying, everything else works well

It could be a problem with the downloaded media file itself.

The issue actually happens as soon as select the section, I don't even get as far as a list of media files

I can confirm the problem on my DP-S1. When I select Rock & Roll TV from the Music podcasts list I get the Loading popup, then the screen goes black. I could shut down using the watchdog timer.

I could click on Amplified, dig video podcast and Hamish & Andy and get their podcast lists.

Looks like something systematic about Rock & Roll TV either on the server, or on the Beyonwiz.

There's close to 200 podcasts in that category. It looks like the current firmware versions can not cope with that many entries. One of the beta testers should report that bug to Beyonwiz.

This bug appears to be fixed in 01.05.325 beta (on my DP-S1).

Peter,
Thanks for the update, that's good to know as that was one of the main areas of Wiz TV that I used to use.
