Weather Favourite Removal

Post by Trial_Master » Fri Dec 19, 2008 14:40

I've added a regional area as a favourite and it now appears on the weather home page. How do you remove favourite or default the page back to standard?

I know you can change it to a new favourite by the same process but not sure about removing it totally.

I haven't tried this feature, but a wild guess - try selecting the same weather page again as a favourite?

Yeah tried that :)

Maybe I'll remove device from WizTV and set up again. Might be a feature we can have added in future firmware?

Removed device and recreated again and the weather page is now default.

That seems a bit excessive :)

Yeah I agree :)

At least I got it sorted, but it should be a feature in the future.

Thanks for your replies!!!

Perhaps, but in all honesty, how often is this going to be required? Out of interest TM, why do you want to delete the favourite?

You're are quite right, probably not a big need in the scheme of things. I created a favourite in error for Mandurah in WA and didn't want it on front weather page. Just being fussy I could have lived with it if that's how it had to be.

In this case, it's not a big deal. But if WizTV grows to have lots of configuration options, it would probably be a good thing to be able to reset options/favourites/etc.

So you could have just used my suggestion for a simpler solution and replaced it with Brisbane.

Brisbane is already on the weather front page.

Sure, but then it would be at the top - no DOWN presses required.

Would it only appear at the top or would it be on the page twice?

I might muck around with it again sometime.

It would replace Mandurah as the favourite, but yes it would be listed in its normal position as well.

I just tried setting the Weather favorite for Canberra. When I returned to the main weather menu, it said:

"Fine, cool"

8)

It was originally going to say "Are you happy now?"
