You get the activation code on your TV screen when you go into WizTV on your Beyonwiz and you don't have an account set up.

Sounds like it. WizTV is only supported on the very latest firmware, 01.05.280. If you haven't upgraded your firmware from what was initially loaded on your P1 when you bought it, you'll be missing out on all sorts of useful goodies.

But since WizTV is useless without an Internet connection, let's get you onto the Internet first :)

Activation code for Wiz tv

Post by calljennycraig » Fri Oct 02, 2009 20:51

Hi guys,

I need some help with the activation code as well.
I press the wiztv button, a box comes up saying "loading wiztv" and after a pause I get anoher box saying "Wiztv error Failed to access page"

I have a new DP-P2 with firmware 01.05.302 connected to my Netcomm NB5WPlus4 modem/router via a cat 5e cable.

The P2 is set up with a static IP address. I can ping the ip address from another device in the network.

Any thoughts of where I am going wrong?

Craig

gateway and dns are the usual suspects, both of which won't prove if you have them setup right or wrong simply by pinging.

Yep, doubled checked the DNS numbers and found I had a bit of dyslexia.

Didn't work straight away but after switching on and off it is now working.

Thanks for the feedback

Just activated the P2 and now waiting for the screen to come up. The mesaage on screen has gone but the P2 display still says loading wiz tv - does this take a few minutes because before activating it the code showed up after 20 seconds or so?
