Background is nearly black

Post by duke » Sat Dec 27, 2008 13:45

I've even chnged the transparency to the lowest yet the screen is pretty well black when I hit WizTV. Can't see what's on in the background at all.

Wasn't like this a couple of days ago :?

If you want to see through you need the highest transparency, not the lowest.

Well that makes more sense!

Are you moving to and selecting Save Settings after the change?

Yes. Turned it off at the wall even and still it's not transparent like it was a day or two ago.

I agree with duke. The "High" transparency setting is now more like how the "Medium" setting used to be.

The WizTV Settings screen is also a mess. The selection menu appears underneath the current setting. When you press OK to change it, the current setting goes away, and you can select a new transparency setting, but after the selection is made it goes back to having the current setting overlaid on top of the menu. This is new behaviour, too.

Hi,

I've noticed that even though the transparent setting is set to the lowest setting, the text changes colours as the picture behind the text changes.

Its just as though the text is transparent as well, but at a different setting to the background.

This sounds like the wiztv memory leak that Ian discovered a week ago. If you use wiztv a lot (and leave your wiz on, I assume?) you eventually get corrupt menus.

No on both counts. The test I did was my first use of WizTV since I started my H1, and our BWs get switched off at least once a day.

I just re-checked on my H1 after a restart. Still darker than it was, and the Wiz Settings menu is still a mess.

I can confirm that, and the Wiz Settings screen looks normal now, too.
