Device Codes List

Post by DaveR » Sun Dec 30, 2007 13:49

List of Device Codes that Work

I've started this topic so users can share the codes that work for their devices. I will add more devices under the 'Device List' heading as they are posted...

How To Manually Change a Device's Code
  • Press Select to select the device
Hold Set for 5 sec until Code appears
    Press Ok
Press 1234 <-- replace with actual code
Press Exit to save and exit setup
Device Code List

Beyonwiz DP-S1, DP-P1 and DP-H1 = 2999

AWA 32cm LCD TV = 0794

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a 32cm AWA LCD TV and none of the AWA codes worked. So I did an
auto scan and found some codes that do work. I have thoroughly tested each
of the codes to find out the differences and decide which one works best.
See results below.

Code: Select all

-------------------------------------------------
Listed AWA TV codes (none worked on my 32cm LCD)

 0026 0027 0033 0159 0160 0189 0220
 0257 0277 0278 0283 0299 0309 0446
 0498 0502 0503 0508

Codes that the AWA 32cm LCD TV responded to

 0080 - Useless
 0188 - Useless
 0333 - Barely usable
 0544 - Useless
0794 - Usable, but not perfect

Samsung LA40M81 (probably the N, R and F series and all the various sizes too): AP-U1 TV code= 0527.
However, if you use this remote to control your TV volume, the mute and volume- seem to be transposed (there were a few other codes that worked properly for these functions, but then the cursor keys wouldn't work in the menus, or the OK button would work... this was the best one I believe). Given I use my amplifier and 5.1 setup only, I don't use the TV volume so can live with this.
Regards
Tony

Why'd you do a factory reset?

They come with the SAT device pre-programmed for the BW on 2999. Are you trying 2999 on the SAT devcie?

i read a note in the manual that says don't learn stuff to the sat section of the remote if you want to use the remote with a BW, and if you stuff up the sat section you have to learn the BW functions back in to it, so I did and it works again.
this of course means you can not type in a code to make the BW work, anyway the x999 codes are for the learning function of the remote so its never going to work typing in 2999.

I read the same note with its dark tones, and the note after it that said that if you did change the SAT codes you can fix them simply by re-learning from the BW standard remote, and just went ahead and programmed VOL+/- to control the amplifier volume, just the same as I did on all the devices I use on the remote.

Thanks.

At least by relearning the codes you get to decide which buttons to do without. For example, I don't see the point of having the eject button on the remote becuase you still have to get up to change the DVD anyway so you may as well just press the eject button on the S1 itself. This way you can use the eject button on the remote for the slo-mo or live button etc. Plus, P1 and H1 owners have no use for the eject button anyway.
