AP-E1 and May firmware

Post by smeg888 » Thu May 08, 2008 09:50

Been using my E1 on my PC lately and just I'd test some theories out on the BW.

Have the May firmware on the BW and plugged the E1 in and went to the LiDic1 channel.

BW front panel showed it was on LiDic, but no audio or video. There is a signal coming in to the E1, I'd just had it plugged in to my PC.

Wonder if anyone else could test to see if their E1 works with the new firmware.

regards

Mine is 'working' although the colour seems to be over saturated now.
Cheers, BJ Boy.

Hi Smeg888,

I just grabbed my friends LiDiC and it seems to be working fine on my DP-S1 running 01.05.232.

Are the setup menu options for the LiDiC correct for your environment?

Regards,
Ian.

I don't think I'll bother posting again. That's 2 idiot strikes for me today!
Works best when you set it to composite, when you have composite inputs!

Interested to know if BW did anything on the picture quality for the LiDiC, seem less blown out and more saturated?? Maybe just more dream time stuff from me.

Hi Smeg888,

The composite inputs look fine to me (bar the aspect ratio issue that is already documented and being worked on). My S-Video source (an old DVD player) seems to have blown up its power supply. I am looking for something else to test the S-Video input at the moment.

Regards,
Ian.

BJBoy just posted in this topic that he thinks the the LiDiC now produces over-saturated output. So you may not be imagining it.
