Installing LiDiC

Post by raymundy » Sat Mar 29, 2008 17:07

Hi folks

After buying a ps1, I have now gone one step further to the LiDiC.
Having trouble installing the unit.
I have Foxtell so i want to connect that to the LiDiC. Do I need to rescan the stations or does it automatically detect the LiDiC?
I upgraded the firmware only last week. Do I need to obtain firmware for this unit and so where from.

Thanks for your help

You need at least version 197.

Have you gone into setup and enable the LiDiC and relevant settings?
Cheers

Thank you

Excuse my dumbness about this but how do I go into settings and set it up. Have had a look and can't even find the LiDiC settings in there. I think I have firmware update of 192 and I thought that was the latest.

Thanks again and jind regards

Well as I said in the last post - download and install the latest firmware and then you will see the options.

192 is not the latest and has no LiDiC support.

Have you selected the LiDiC services through the services list?

How have you got it hooked up?

For me I just set it to:
LiDiC = Enable
Display = Full
Input 1 = Composite
Video Type 1 = PAL
Input 2 = S-Video
Video Type 2 = PAL

I also have to have the Audio Format, in the A/V Output menu, set to 5.1ch or I get no audio. Then I connect any S-Video equipment to Input 2 and switch the beyonwiz to ch 951.

You are watching via the normal beyonwiz outputs? Not via the LiDiC's Monitor output?
cheers
