Remote codes - Sony
I got the code for my Sony Bravia KLV-26S200A programmed into the remote (285).
But it doesn't do a particularly good job. Volume, channel and the numeric keys work, but only GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE of the coloured buttons, not RED, and while POPUP works as the Sony MENU button, it may as well not, because the S1 remote navigation buttons don't have codes for the navigation functions on the Sony, so you can't do anything in the config menu (like changing external inputs). I couldn't find a corresponding button for the external inputs switching button either.
It all means that I can change analog channels and TV set volume, but I have no way of changing the external inputs, and I do volume control in the stereo amp anyway
The INFO button doesn't transmit at all (at least the TV backlight doesn't flash) in TV mode.
I guess there's no way round this without replacing the remote.
Would it be useful to build up a table of TV remote codes to models and button correspondences from S1 remote to genuine remote in a sticky here?

Excellent idea.prl wrote:Would it be useful to build up a table of TV remote codes to models and button correspondences from S1 remote to genuine remote in a sticky here?
BTW I found 2 different codes that were able to control my AWA LC TV. The 2nd code I found works better than the 1st. e.g. more buttons work and work as expected.

What if the table was built in the other thread of Dave's which is already a sticky..

Hi Nem,
I rarely change any settings on mine so I just use its remote. (I also dislike changing between TV and PVR on the Beyonwiz remote.)
Regards,
Ian.
What an excellent choice in TV you have!Nem wrote:I have a KVHR36M31 Sony CRT. The only button I've got working so far is the power button. It might be nice to have a few more controls from the BW remote though. Anyone got any more sony codes to try? I have tried all the ones listed in the manual.

The Sony codes in the extended list of TV codes that Dave? posted are the same as the list in the original printed manual. So unfortunately, I don't think there are any other options.Nem wrote:I have a KVHR36M31 Sony CRT. The only button I've got working so far is the power button. DP-P2 Remote Code for Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR
I've tried the automatic code search and manual set for my DP-P2 remote to control my Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR but without success. The DP-P2 manual on page 9 suggests visiting the beyonwiz website for a correct code, but I can't find the codes on the website.
Can anyone direct me or provide the correct code for this TV?
Thanks
