Are the three-digit codes codes for devices (i.e. you're looking for Sherwood's device code for the Beyonwiz)?
Edit: I had a look at the manual for the Sherwood RNC-500. Beyonwiz isn't listed as a manufacturer with a 3-digit code. I think you may need to learn from the Beyonwiz remote.

Beyonwiz remote codes are a lot longer than 3 digits. The 3 digit codes in the Sherwood remote are specific codes for those remotes. The list of codes is in the manual.awtm wrote:I was hoping the 3 digit codes were specific across the board. That is, related to the device, not the remote. The remote I have isn't smart enough to "learn"............I'm beginning to think the answer is "go and buy a logitech"

Each universal remote control manufacturer creates their own list of device codes for all devices they choose to support. Usually they are 3 digit codes, but they are sometimes 4 or 5 digits. Unfortunately there is no globally used database of standardised device codes shared between, and accessible to, all remote control manufacturers. So each universal remote control manufacturer makes up their own codes.
