Faulty Remote

Post by joeleee » Tue Jul 21, 2009 20:03

The volume + button isn't working on my dp-s1remote. Where can I buy a new remote? How much?

Would a universal be better? I would like PIP, so with a universal, I could use the tv's PIP for those times I really want it.

Thanks

BR-01 remote kaput?

Post by dbowie » Mon Jan 02, 2012 00:10

Hi there

My BR-01 in use with the DP-S1 seems to have just stopped working. Changed batteries and nothing. Cleaned termninals and still nothing. Lights on STB or any other button do not work.

Does anyone in Perth do repairs or is there anywhere in Perth I can get one asap.

Also have tried to look for where on the machine where I can operate it and apart from turning on, changing channels and volume - can I operate the machine by using and controls on the machine? Or, am I stuffed without a remote?

Hope you can assist asap.

Pretty much, I'm afraid.

You can buy replacement remotes from Dealspace, but they are ridiculously expensive.

You may be better off all round buying an activity-based universal remote like a Logitech Harmony.

Thanks for that prl.

Happy enough to use dealspace but what is their turnaround to get it to clients. I dont want to wait too long?

And Happy new year to you.

I've never bought through them. Their Shipping page says:
Orders are dispatched within 3 - 5 business days (Refurbished stock requires a minimum of 5 business days for Quality Assurance purposes). Shipping times are estimated at between 3-7 business days depending on your location within Australia.
That's presumably if they have the item in stock. They say that they have BR-01s in stock.

Happy New Year.
