4-2. Operating Other Beyonwiz Products
The enclosed remote control (Product code: BR-02) is designed to
operate the DP-P2 only. To operate other Beyonwiz products of DP-S1,
DP-P1 and DP-H1, which are designed to be operated with a remote
control of BR-01, you have to change its operating mode; please press
and hold the numeric button 1 for 5~6 seconds while pressing the OK
button. The red backlight beneath the TV button blinks three-times if
the remote control changes its operating mode successfully.
If you want to return the operating mode of the remote control to
operate the DP-P2, please press and hold the numeric button 2 for 5~6
seconds while pressing the OK button. The red backlight beneath the
TV button blinks three-times if the remote control changes its operating
mode successfully.
Yep. I found that bit. I think what IanSav was suggesting was that if you have 2 P2s in a room you could set one to respond to P2 codes and one to respond to P1 codes, then set one remote to send P2 codes and the other to send P1 codes, and so control them separately. I'm sure the remotes can do their half of the trick, but I don't think the P2s can do their bit.glow wrote:The P2 user manual explains that the remotes are different and that there's a key sequence which allows the P2 remote to control a P1/S1/H1.4-2. The best information posted so far are the links that glow posted in the What exactly is the DP-Lite? topic. There's nothing about the Remote codeset in that.grampus wrote:I'm really becoming a TV tragic, and look like I want to have 2 boxes in the one room.
Anyone have any idea if the DP-Lite has a different remote code set to the S1?
Don't know if its anything different to the S1.prl wrote: What codeset does the FV-L1 have?
Yep, that's what I do. The Canberra Times daily entertainment guide folded in half is ideal, one edge tucked under the PVR, with a heavy coaster holding down the top. But I've already patented thatgrampus wrote:...
Maybe if I get desperate, I'll have to go the block the receiver with the local rag path

I also configured my Harmony not to turn on the Beyonwiz when entering either View S1 or View H1 mode. It does power the Beyonwiz(es) down using the discrete power off code.
That means I have to turn the Beyonwiz on at the front panel, but unless both are running (three recordings, for example), I don't need to use the folded newspaper trick much.
I guess that answers people's questions about ISO/TS_FOLDER playbackgrampus wrote:...

Could you post (or PM me) the SystemID so I can add it to OpenWiki (if you can't add it yourself), and so I can add it to the BWFWTools list of known SysIDs.
Thanks. In the OpenWiz SysID page now.grampus wrote:...

Are you sure about the model number? Great God Google fails to respond to supplications that contain JC0550HVOEJA4A. According to all the data sheets for 500GB drives that I looked at, Hitachi drive numbers should start with H. The second letter 'C' would mean the CinemaStar series, which are optimised vor digital video & surveillance, which makes sense, but none of the rest of the number decodes like a CinemaStar drive.grampus wrote:Re the DP-Lite
You may wish to include the HDD

All I can do is quote the readout from the HDD info in setup.prl wrote:Are you sure about the model number? Great God Google fails to respond to supplications that contain JC0550HVOEJA4A. Can you read the label through the top grille?
Grill? Runs a bit hot, then?grampus wrote:...prl wrote:...

Can't see the drive ID through the grill.

I'll do a bit more digging and see if I can work out what the HDD is.
Very happy with 2 Wizz in the same room. P2 and Litemick_queensland wrote: So, if I am to buy another wiz, it seems I can only buy a P2 so that it can live harmoniously in the same room as my other wizzes.
Does that sound feasible guys?
Is anyone using a P2 with any other model wiz in the same room?
Prl - are you the 4% with the successful work-around?? "folded Canberra TImes" strategically placed over a wiz.
