Red STB light keeps glowing

i have a DP Lite i've had for a couple of years. Everything has been fine until a couple of days ago.
i picked up the remote the other day and noticed the STB light lit up without any buttons being pushed. when a button is pressed the red light goes out, but comes back onwhen the button is no longer pressed. It is transmitting to the PVR as my other remote for the TV wont work unless i cover up the PVR remote. Also when a button is pressed the Sound Track alog box appears on the TV screen.

Can someone please help as i cant use the PVR at all!!!

Sounds like a stuck button on the remote. That can happen when the remote is old and gunked up. See if you can unstick the button by wiggling each one. If not, it may be time to open up the remote and give it a very careful clean.
