Anyone have a BR-01 or AP-U1 remote control for DP-S1?

Post by Jammer » Mon Feb 15, 2016 15:09

Hi all
A long time since I've posted here.

My 2 x DP-S1 remotes both died in the past week and whilst I found an old AP-U1 remote in a cupboard, I really need another working remote for one of my DP-S1 devices. I have no idea why both remotes suddenly died, and in the same week, no less.

Does anyone have a working (& preferably decent condition) remote they wouldn't mind getting rid of?

Cheers
Gary

Like you I had a failure with my P1 remote - ended up buying a new one from BW.

Unfortunately, it seems neither of these remotes are available anymore. I emailed Beyonwiz to see if they might have one lying around but haven't yet received a reply.

If you can't get a BR-01 remote, but they have BR-02s, they can be configured to operate a DP-S1 (or any other DP-x1).

Yeah, I know they're advertised but they're also out of stock.

Ah, thanks so much for that info. I didn't know the BR-02 could be configured to operate an S1. Great stuff.

EDIT: Dang, these are also out of stock.

If you can get hold of a BR-02 remote, the instructions for setting it up to use for a DP-x1 are on page 7 of the online manual for the DP-P2.

But here they are anyway:
The enclosed remote control (Product code: BR-02) is designed to operate the DP-P2 only. To operate other Beyonwiz products of DP-S1, DP-P1 and DP-H1, which are designed to be operated with a remote control of BR-01, you have to change its operating mode; please press and hold the numeric button 1 for 5~6 seconds while pressing the OK button. The red backlight beneath the TV button blinks three-times if the remote control changes its operating mode successfully.
If you want to return the operating mode of the remote control to operate the DP-P2, please press and hold the numeric button 2 for 5~6 seconds while pressing the OK button. The red backlight beneath the TV button blinks three-times if the remote control changes its operating mode successfully.

I have a BR-01 unused. I can post it if you like.
Cheers, BJ Boy.
