Passing of Csutak40

It is with a heavy heart and a great deal of shock that I have to announce a long term member, Csutak40, has passed away.

Better known to us as Judy, I had the pleasure of meeting Judy Bednar earlier this year. At the time Judy was investing heavily in physical security measures.

Judy mentioned she was having trouble with her violent son. He was subject to Court orders barring him from going to her home but she complained those orders were being ignored.

Tonight's news announced Judy was found earlier in her home. Her son is being held, charged with her murder!

Words fail me at this point - Judy was a kind hearted individual and quite grateful for the help she received from the forum to fix her viewing problems.

I shall miss her deeply.

I always let the other forum members help Judy with her tech problems, but one day she seemed so down that I had to ask if she had anyone to turn to when things were going pear-shaped.

This was in the middle of lockdown and I was genuinely worried about her. She wrote of her son's mental issues, how she felt unsafe, and how she was worried that he would be killed by the cops.

I have worried about her since that day and now my fears have been realised. I don't know how or if I should feel for her son.

Thank you Paul for taking the time to help her out and I am glad you had a chance to meet her in person and saddened that she has gone from our community and the world.

While I had never met her, I'd also tried to help her andexchanged messages over the years so it is sad to hear that she has lost her life in such a tragic way.

Oh no! That is terribly sad. I think Judy and I were probably two of the oldest "girls" on this forum. I have fond memories of her from many years ago (possibly even on the old Toppy forum) when we were discussing the fun and games of moving furniture and equipment around on our own. What a terrible way for her life to come to an end. R.I.P. Judy.

Peter, many thanks for bringing Judy's unitimely passing to our attention.

I have had various contact with Judy over the years, first on the old Topfield Australia Forum and the IceTV forum, and later through the oztoppy forum. We both ventured in to the Beyonwiz experience about the same time.

All I can say it that I am greately sadened.

I am so very sad to hear of Judy's passing. I used to exchange messages with her quite a bit on the old Toppy forum, I think I may have even met her once to help out with PSU problems (so long ago my memory's not clear) but either way she was well known and well respected. My condolences to all who knew her.
