I've recently purchased a T3 barebones unit and I'm pretty impressed. Aside from initially failing to load firmware out of the box (which simply required a USB firmware update and I was good) I'm really happy with the unit.
I've upgraded using the last week's release firmware version too, reapplying the previous config backup right away - too easy. Thanks!
I like the transparent GUI overlay but most of all I'm glad to be rid of my old LG409 unit with its "im going to start recording in 30s, 29s" ... interruptions. My main use at the moment is series recording (autotimers) - these remind me of the trusty DigiTV PCI dual tuner card I had a few years ago.
The T3 has just enough options that allow me to tweak it but not have to do as much work as my 10 year old htpc that its largely replacing since it died.
