Beyonwiz got burned a few years ago when it was 'conned' into making a Freeview compliant PVR. I'm pretty sure they aren't silly enough to fall for that trick again.

Just be aware that an IceTV 'lifetime' offer is limited to 5 years or until the device dies - whichever is the lesser. It also applies to only the device for which it is purchased.
The 'normal' IceTV subscription can be used on up to 5 devices.
The 'best value' depends on how many PVRs you have.

Timers can be set from the IceTV website. Peteru is saying that timers set from the IceTV website (ie. IceTV timers) have no padding. Timers set on the T3, either manual or via Autotimers WILL have padding. It doesn't matter which guide you are using, EPG or IceTV. It matters WHERE you set the time...

There is no protection on the analog outputs - apart from the deterioration incurred in analog recording. You should be able to record from the red/white/yellow outputs of the Austar box to the corresponding P2 inputs.
