Hi Ian. I agree that the use of hacked firmware puts the user's BW at risk, and I try to be careful to warn of the associated risks. This is a real risk, and for example, caught peteru out when I inadvertently pointed him at the wrong version of Wiz Firmware Tools to use with BWFWTools. I agree, too...

Using the tools in xvid4psp to do the editing is IMHO better and easier for taking out all the commercials and start and end times than using the Beyonwiz if your purpose is to get the video to a PC or PMP. The only realistic solution is to modify the BW to allow EPG from sources other than ICE. That way we can upload our own EPG, or one that's maintained by a community such as this one.
