You could try ringing ICE (rather than here). They can look at what's happening real time and probably tell you what's going awry. Its possible your issues are related to your network setup or the BW firmware etc.

I'd suggest setting identical timers on both machines to be sure.

I find AVIs have no issues. MKVs maybe 1 in 5 will play fine for a while before decending into a judering mess. As such I tend to copy them over to the local drive for watching (1Gb = 1 MKV = about 4 minutes)

I had issues when playing the SRT file from "CD2" it would open the "CD1" avi if they were all sharing the same folder when it should open the avi of the same file name. The work around was to put each avi/srt file in its own folder after which it picked up the avi just fine by ...

Can I just confirm, Do you need to incorporate subtitles on the PC then transfer to a BW or can you just put the AVI and SRT files in the BW and it will handle the rest?
