I am not doing any snub and bait tactics, both Sony and Panasonic ate known to have buggy, featureless pvrs. You make a blanket statement claiming name brands don't have the software problems of the wiz, I beg to differ. Please stop being a tool.

Now that I think about it, I'm wondering if the lack of an active recording indicator bar (in the instant record popup window for the case of disabled time-shift) is a bug in itself. The bar is there for a very good reason (when timeshifting)... you can rewind in the buffer and choose to record fro...

Or rec, choose duration, and accept. If you want to record what is in the timeshift buffer also, change the option from live to all. But as was said a quick recx2 will do 70 mins without fiddling with the menu.

Someone has fiddled with your amp settings and disabled the surround sound processing (used for stereo sources). There is no issue with the wiz setup (unless you set the wiz to the incorrect 5.1 option which maybe only the s1 has as an option).

If you are transferring files via the wiz gui, press power and it will switch off after it has completed. Same as if it is recording, you can press power and it will switch off after finished.your rewind concept is obviously not relevant for a pvr.
