Re: Can I Disable Transcode / Stream
I am assuming that you are using the Plex "Live TV and DVR" feature, which leverages on the T4's ability to emulate a HDHomerun device via the "HRTunerProxy" plugin. The Samba bit is a little less clear, but I am guessing that means that you are getting Plex to also share out rec...

You'll also need to ensure that both devices have a manually configured IP address in the same subnet so that they can talk to eachother.
Without a router/DHCP server in between, their automatic IP assignments won't be made.

WD Elements SE 1TB USB3.0 Portable Hard Drive If that's your only HDD, then it should not be formatted as FAT32. It should be formatted as ext4 by the V2. This will then make it unreadable if you plugged it into a Windows PC though, but FAT32 lacks the features required for advanced timeshift opera...

Whatever the problem is, it won't be the capacity. The U4 supports practically unlimited size disks (like in the exabyte range). You may want to try deleting all the partitions from the disk using your PC before trying to use it on the U4 in case there is something whacky going on with the partition...

It's also possible that there is a DNS resolution issue on TheOldMan's network.
The http://beyonwizv2 wouldn't resolve in a web browser if there were DNS problems, but Windows would still be able to discover the V2 and list it in Windows Explorer.

You still haven't responded to the questions and suggestions already put forward.
Turn off downmixing.
Set the V2's volume to a couple of clicks below maximum.
With that setting, all channels should sound about the same.
Can you please confirm that this is, or is not the case for you?

Yep. You just whack the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port in the back of the V2. It should automatically get a dynamic IP address from your router and "just work". You can also manually assign an IP address in the V2 if you like, or even better, configure your router's DHCP server to g...

Could be another stray source of RF in the room. You can try covering the V2's receiver to see if it still happens. If it still happens with the receiver covered, then it is probably a fault with the V2's IR receiver or front panel. My second V2 "picks up" a stream of "ARROW DOWN"...

Well none of those changes made any improvement (30 second lease time in router, IP6 disabled on the Win10 Laptop, & deleted WIZU401_Movie share & created new WIZU4Movie share). Did you reboot all your STBs and PCs after making the DHCP lease time change? You'd need to do that to ensure the...

Your suggestion; “Use a DHCP lease time of around 30 minutes.” is interesting. I have DHCP lease time set to 21 days, which is the maximum. Yea, don't do that. You'd also need to ensure that the timeshift directory is pointed at the USB drive too. Timeshift is separate from the recording folders and is what is required to pause and rewind live TV. I don't know why your settings would be forgotten between reboots or power loss though. That shouldn't happen.

There is no password on the SMB share by default.
