I tried a new use cable that came with the new hdd. An error message has come up a few times which says to notify the bw forum of but it is so brief I have been unable to capture it. It's starting to sound like a hardware problem. A long shot, but probably worth trying, would be to try a different USB cable. Are you able to log in to the commandline interface on the V2 so that you can look at the system logs and see whether there are any HDD errors when you try to do the formatt...

Similar-ish, yes, and anyone familiar with the Beyonwiz firmware shouldn't have too much trouble with any of them. But only OpenViX and OpenATV have IceTV support, if that's important.

The Vu+ doesn't run Beyonwiz firmware (and probably never will). It runs a variety of different enigma2-based firmware images that are all different from each other and from the Beyonwiz firmware. So a family's Beyonwiz has just died. Any idea as to when stock of the V2 will be available? Thanks Beyonwiz has made no announcement of what their state of operation is. I doubt very much whether there will be any stock of any Beyonwiz model available in the Beyonwiz shop at any time in the future...

The T4 (and U4) can only record from HDMI. If your VCR doesn't have HDMI output (which is likely to be the case), the T4 can't record from it, unless you find a converter from your VCR's A/V output (likely to be composite video or S-Video, and analog audio) to HDMI.

Those logs don't have all the information that's in the timer log. The size of the debug logs you were looking at will grow with how long the Beyonwiz was running before it was restarted. Never were all tracks with sufficient volume on the PC. It seems to suggest there must be something wrong with the audio playback part of the V2 would you agree? No, I don't agree. The V2 is just streaming the contents of the file to the PC. The audio (and video) decoding is being done on the PC....

I thought that when you deleted an AutoTimer, it offered you the option to delete any pending timers that it had created?

In live TV, press the TIMER button. In the timer list, scroll down to the timer you want to delete. Press RED Delete. Answer "yes" in the ""Do you really want to delete recording name?"" popup.
