I can only assume that the V2 processor is not able to keep up with the data stream when recording. It cannot be a transmission fault as this glitch does not appear if the same program is recorded on my T4. The V2 has more, and faster (4 x 1600MHz), CPUs than the T4 (2 x 1300MHz). It sounds like it might be differences in tuner performance. Are you using a USB tuner as well as the built-in tuners?

Nasa Electronics has a refurbished barebones V2 without a remote on sale and a refurbished 500GB T2 on sale at the moment. The V2 has been there for a while, but the T2 is new since the last time I looked. They have some refurbished Topfields, too.

The chipsets are Afatech AF9033 and ITE IT913X AX.

I think you'll be covered by installing enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-af9035. That package recommends all the lower level packages that are needed. You may need to reboot after installing the packages.

The displayed name for recordings isn't the file name, it's the second line in the recording's .meta file.

You need to change that line to change the recording name.

It's possible to use AutoTimers while you're still using IceTV. You can try setting up some AutoTimers for new series instead of using IceTV, and see how you go with them.
