Got the Pana 720. It's very good, particularly the streaming to ipad/iphone/Nexus 7 .

Was wondering if I left my S1 on my front porch would I find a six pack of Boags there when I got home?? Sort of like the tooth fairy!!!

The Pana wont play .MKV files. The cheapest Bluray player does just not the recorders. yep, also have a Mac mini with 4 tuners as part of my set up. Can pretty much play anything with that. The pana is just a more wife-friendly backup recorder and I'll be able to get rid of my bluray player as well...

Very interesting this thread. Like OPs have said. I changed the time on my S1 to GMT+10 and since then ICE TV hasn't worked at all. If your TV is HDMI capable, find out the best and cheapest HDMI cable in advance, as HN swear the Monster (at about $300!) is the only good choice. I have no idea. If by DVD burner you mean a standalone DVD recorder, yes that would work. Quality won't be that brilliant - but it would be ok.

If you meant a PC type USB attached DVD burner, no that won't work. The BW won't recognise that it is there.

Just checked out the Harmony Forum.

Looks like it was a bad time to program a new Harmony. Seems that they implemented an ew version of their software on Friday night that has caused double key responses on a variety of their remote models.

Supposedly a fix will be out Tuesday.

As Netmask says I haven't had any lipsink problems either from a VCR or Foxtel, my only problem is the fact that the E1 doesn't get the aspect ratio correct meaning that you have to process the file thru somthing else to fix it - a bit annoying.

I copy loads of files to my PCs from the BW using WizFx. They all play quite happily on the PCs with Media Player Classic, VLC, nero Show Time and DVBViewer.

I only use Videoredo if I want to edit out the ads to keep the program.
