Got worried I was going to need a repair/replacememt for my U4 a couple of days ago when I turned mine on and all I got was the front panel showing the signal bar streaming in red. (best I can describe it)
Fortunately cyclying the mains power did the trick.

Thanks for that. It will go into the next picon update. If there are significant changes (i.e. the update changes the picon setup) that may come sooner rather than later. Apologies for the slow reply, but I tested positive for COVID on 23 Dec and spent 2-10 Jan in hospital with COVID and pneumonia....

Re: Can BW V2 send a power-down signal to receiver/TV?
Having confirmed that the issue was something to do with a signal from the Beyonwiz causing the TV to shut down every 15 minutes it would seem that there may be a firmware issue with the Beyonwiz. How does one escalate a bug report on this forum? There is no point unfortunately as there is unlikely...

OpenWebIf isn't an app you download, it is part of the firmware/software on your Beyonwiz. If you point your browser at it that is just type the same IP address into the address bar. http://beyonwizv2 may work if your network already recognises the address. Actually looks like this was all posted in...

Fair enough. TBH I don't think I have changed anything with my feed server so I guess I should update to use adoxa's? The picons aren't on the broken feed server. Last time I did a picon update it just worked from the usual server. I guess we'll see this time. Oh well I just used adoxa's script to ...

Two questions
1. Has anything been updated in the last few months? I hadn't tried the unofficial feed but happy to do so if there are now updates.
2. I have copy of the Merlin Music Player which I would be happy to pass on to be added to the feed?

As already posted, you don't install OpenWebIf it is already installed on your V2.
To use it on your PC just type the same IP address into a browser (Firefox, etc) and it will appear.
Bouquet editor is a menu option under Extras on the left.

Firstly, never remove stations/services from the list but create a favourites list instead and use that.
That can then have all the ones in it you want to keep.

I'm with Boost and I think strictly speaking they are not a MVNO as they use the full Telstra Retail network whereas the MVNOs use the wholesale network (less coverage) and can be speedcapped. (Though Boost is starting to speedcap depending on plan)
I've been very happy with them.

Re: U4 server requires a USB reflash when not shut down cleanly.
You really need to test using the latest available firmware v19.3-20211010 to include all the latest updates and fixes. I have & it still had the same server failure after an unclean shutdown. I thought I covered that with my comments; “Currently running f/w 19.3.20211010”, & “Without testi...

Not saying it will resolve it but it isn't fair to ask without doing that at least.

What I am willing to do for the Beyonwiz community is to register the domain once it becomes available again (as long as it is at normal market prices, not jacked up price from a cyber-squatter) and also provide the hosting for the 19.3_20211010 feeds. The cost of this is around US$200/year at 2021...

That's frustrating for you. Definitely can be replaced by a universal remote, but I'm not sure how "local" you will find it. Harmony used to be a popular choice though since they stopped producing remotes they can be harder to find though some are still for sale through eBay etc. Sofabaton...

Hi Anthony
19.3 isn't the firmware version, more like the series of releases so you might want to check and confirm which firmware you are currently using.
MENU > Information > Build/Revision
should give you the actual version.

I have deleted the mobile number from your post. It is not good practice as forums gets scrapped and info gets collected for all sorts of dubious means.
Once you are established and can send private messages including it there would be fine.
