I cant be thrashing my S1 hard enough. Over the break we have watched lots of DVD's, a lot of pausing fast forwarding etc and not a single problem. I am on the 192 firmware and so far no other problems have shown up either. However, the unit does go into standby most nights. Maybe thats what helps. ...

Its certainly a nice to have. I did use it when I had a camera over my front door.

I would also imagine that there comes a point in any product development cycle where the development model has to be released to the public warts and all or the whole thing would be financially unsustainable. I would also think that given the audience size for the BW compared to say your average car...

Please note: I did go back to the old firmware, then realised I couldn't watch anything recorded whilst the new firmware was installed, so went back to the new firmware. IceTV remote is a pretty cool idea, though I can't see myself using it that much in reality. What *would* be great though is the video on demand service that IceTV is implementing with their partner Reeltime. I have no idea whether the Bwiz would be a "compatible device" for this though. ...

Yeah,

I had a bluetooth GPS unit once that had such a bright blue flashing LED I had to cover it in black tape in fear of the accidents it might cause at night time. Not kidding either :shock:
