Have you definitely forced the Oppo to output stereo pcm only? (Via the oppo device settings) It's not sufficient to just select a stereo audio track, you need to ensure that the Oppo *can't* send a multichannel audio signal to the T4. Even just a moment will potentially lock up the T4 audio again....

It's unlikely there is anything wrong with your hardware, you just have an unsupported HDMI-IN audio format that causes the DSP firmware in the T4 SoC to lock up / crash. The only way to recover from that DSP firmware lock up / crash is a full reboot, although a power cycle is even better. Just swi...
