Re: New Firmware for (T2/T3/T4/U4/V2) 06/11/2019
Having troubles with my T3, as things started to go wrong with trying to change the IP on it, and then it started to crash. Anyway, after much head scratching I've discovered the flash was full. So I thought I'd just reflash it to 19.3 again, sadly I can't find my download of it, so trying to downlo...

Re: Kayo Sports on U4
ah, so getting hold of a chromecast, streaming Kayo through that, and thence in to the T4/U4 is what I'm sort of thinking.
What about copy protection stuff, or just run the chromecast through a hdmi splitter as I currently do from my iq4 box ?
sorry for my vague answers before.

But if I can stream to one, I should then be able to stream it to a tv as well.

thought I'd add my questions to this thread to keep them together. :) I currently have a iq4 to watch foxsports 506 through my T4 (or U4), but I'm getting tired of the expense of foxtel just to watch/record f1 and the v8's, so was looking at options to dump foxtel altogether. Seems like Kayo Sports ...

Disappointing for me, and I'm guessing others too, the V2 doesn't have HDMI IN, as the T4 and U4 does. Over the last week I've noticed my U4 appears to be somewhat laggy. It takes seemingly forever to reboot. regulary the busy wait 'pointer' is spinning around, when it never used to. Make sure that you point out to your mate that this is not likely to be a standard surface mount component replacement. Extensive PCB cleaning will be required and possibly some track repair too. Re: T4 - Tuners A/B have died
1 - My temporary solution while I waited for parts to arrive. The 1.2V regulator (LM1085) on the left has a heatsink attached with thermal tape. This seemed more than adequate as the heatsink is only very warm to touch. Trusting in good thermal conductivity of the tape. The 3.3V regulator (LM3940, ...

Sounds like the regulators driving your tuners are cactus. Or more accurately, the heatsink compound on those regulators is eating it's way through your motherboard. Is be looking squarely at the Kogan here. Try dropping the output resolution or swapping cables. I'm assuming that your aren't going through any amplifiers first as well.
