Renaming TVWIZ files
Hi I have recorded a series with my DP2P and then moved the TVWIZ files to an external HDD. I want to prefix the names with the series and episode number "S1E1 Blindspot" etc. I can't use the rename feature on the DP2P because it doesn't include numbers in its file rename feature. When I r...

ICE Fails to record channel 7
I have two Beyonwiz DP-P2s When I go to the guide neither of them fill in the TV guide for channel 70. That doesn't worry me too much though it would be nice to fix it. I can watch channel 70. But I get a lot of failures to set recorders for programs on network 7. I haven't worked out exactly when i...

wizPNP Problem
I have messed with some of my router settings and now WIZ PNP does not seem to work properly. Could be coincidental. My Hardware is: Netgear DGND3700 router/modem/wireless access point connected to ADSL line, one DP-2P and a 2TB HDD. LAN connection from DGND3700 to LAN port of a second DGND3700 whic...

Service Updated Message
A few minutes ago I noticed "service Updated" flash on my screen. No big deal. It could be coincidence but now when I load the file player I get "HDD not initialised ...". Could these two things be related? I had to re-format the HDD a few months ago after getting the same HDD me...

have installed the VLC android beta on my tablet and it happily plays some AVI files that I have. Unfortunately, it does not seem to matter what I do I can't get it to play the MP4 H264 files that I have recorded (from the AV Input) of the WIZ. I have tried converting them to mpg, avi, wmv but nothi...

Best Format for Beyonwiz and Galaxy Tab
I would like to keep my video files in one format for use on a Galaxy Tab and my Wiz. Galaxy Tab seems to prefer MP4 format. But this format seems to be very slow to read on the WIZ (start or skip) . The one AVI file I have tried on the (new) Galaxy Tab 3 seems to work fine, but I use VideoRedo and ...

Last night after turning my system off I turned the screen back on and confirmed that the WIZ really was on standby. i.e. it was not producing Audio Visual. This morning I again turned on the screen without touching the WIZ to find that while it still appears to be on Standby it is now producing AV ...

Thanks Mark I purchased Feb 2011 from ICE TV. 2TB unit. Power supply is IP-100 Rev 4 I use a universal remote control. So each night I turn off my system, which includes a power toggle command to the WIZ. If it is recording at the time then it waits until recording is finished and then turns to stan...

DP-P2 Power Supply Problem?
When I turn off my system, all of my devices including the WIZ appear to turn off. Sometimes when I turn my system on again using a remote control the WIZ front panel continues to show the time and the blue ring of fire stays off. But the WIZ is clearly on because there is video and audio sent to my...

Beyonwiz DP-2P Codes
Some devices have more available codes than are used on the remote control.
Does the DP-2P have separate power on and power off codes?
I am using a harmony 600 remote.

When I put my network back together both units are visible in WizFX which convinces me that both units servers are operating. So most likely th...

I have just placed the two Wiz side by side and connected them together using a brand new 1m long ethernet crossover cable. i.e. the router is completely gone. Two Beyonwiz on Network
I am planning to buy a second DP-2P. They will both be connected (wired) to a Netgear DGND3700 router/ADSL Modem which also has a 2TB HDD connected to it. Just wondering will there be any unpleasant surprises when I want to play recorded content on one DP-2P from the other? Will the fast forward, pa...

This is really strange. When I connect the USB HDD directly to my PC, both windows explorer and VideoRedo agree that the duration is about 2 hours. Incorrect MPG duration reported
I store my MPG files on an NTFS formatted 2TB HDD connected to a Netgear DGND3700 router/modem. My Wiz is connected to the router by wired ethernet and plays files that are smaller than 4GB nicely. It plays larger files OK too. But, if I look at the file info the Wiz reports the file duration a bit ...

I am trying to use WizPlayer. When I push "Beyonwiz Search" it finds the first 63 files on my wiz and then gives the error: Socket error 11004 Which I found using goggle to mean "Valid name, no data record of requested type". Unfortunately the first 63 items on my wiz are all &qu...

Deleting Adds
How accurately can I expect to delete adds?
I have seen a post somewhere that discussed this but everyone seemed to have a different view (and I can't find it anyway).
i.e. how many seconds of adds (at each end) do I need to leave in to be sue that I won't delete any frames of the actual program?

There is some very detailed information here on this forum, but I can't see the answer to this simple question!
