I am in the process of using the online update and i am still waiting nearly 3hr later. its just over 1/2 way through. What do i do now. let it keep going and hope that when i wake up in the morning it will be done.

Yes configuring the router to always give the same ip is the right way to go. That isn't quite the same as a static ip adddres but is better as it will automatically compensate if you make other changes. i could be wrong but it looks like grjnmiller has his NAS and the T3 setup to dynamic ip's so if those devices are turned off or disconnected from the router they may be allocated a new ip when turned on again i find it much easier to have static ip addresses for my NAS and T3 makes life a lot simp...

OK i have winfx on the laptop. I have transferred a file from my beyonwiz. Now i want to remove the advertisements and format the tv show into a MP4 so i can watch it later on my ipad or laptop.
