Sounds like it is just what I'm after.
Just have a couple questions, does dreamplex resume video from one device to another like other PLEX clients and will it mark video as watched and unwatched and sort by unwatched etc?

Re: Does Dreamplex use T4 Transcoding
Thanks for your reply. I understand now. So the T4 can transcode files and serve it to other devices. I was thinking that Dreamplex would use the T4 transcoder if my QNAP couldn't do it. So Dreamplex will use the decoding capabilities of the T4, which based on your comments, should handle most forma...

Does Dreamplex use T4 Transcoding
I'm thinking of upgrading my DP-S1 to a T4 but I'm trying to find out if Dreamplex makes use of the transcoding features of the T4? My PLEX server is on a ARM QNAP which is not powerful enough to transcode so I need the client to direct play. I was hoping someone has a similar setup and uses the T4 ...

Thanks Netmask
I tried settings identical to your but says unsupported format. I will keep tinkering.
I use AnyDVD to rip the bluray and Handbrake to encode. What did you use to encode your?

Ripping Bluray to MKV using Handbrake
Hi All, I have been playing around trying to rip blurays to MKV using handbrake that will play on my DP-S1. I believe the DP-S1 should be able to decode DTS but the file I created will not play. Media info below. I have used 720p as I know it won't play 1080P and I set handbrake to pass through the ...

QNAP Write Access from DP-S1
Hi All, I've been trying to copy to and delete files from my QNAP using my DP-S1. I am using the latest firmware on both. I think I have a similar problem to this. http://www.beyonwiz.com.au/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=6199&highlight=qnap+guest But I can't see a solution. I have setup a user on the Q...

Well I think I may have cracked it. Here's what I did. 1. Renamed Lounge to Temp and Dummy to Lounge on IceTV so Lounge is now on top. 2. Changed all timers device to Lounge as renaming changes the device name. 3. Deleted all devices on IceTV except Lounge. 4. On Lounge DPS1, disabled icetv, cleared...

Re: Timers Not Resending
As you suggest, And in my opinion, whenever there are multiple devices with a BW in the mix, there needs to be a dummy (unused) entry as the first device. I have had this setup for well over a year now, I haven't had missing timers, timers going to the wrong device since. (except for brain fades) 0...

Got a second DPS1 recently and now I appear to have similar problem to what others have posted but can't seem to fix it. Up until now I've only had one machine named BEYONWIZ which I have renamed to SHED. The second S1 is now the main unit which I named LOUNGE. On the IceTV website I renamed BEYONWI...

I was hoping to squeeze in 2 more questions. I have the opportunity to pickup another DP-S1 cheap that has a 500gb hard drive and PSU upgrade by Warkus. Second Beyonwiz Questions?
Hi all, I've had DP-S1 for several years now and thinking of getting a DP-P2 to replace it as the main unit and then use the DP-S1 in another room. I have read I can create a server and client relationship to share recordings etc. Just had a couple of questions. 1. Can the client wake the server fro...

Just to clarify. The black bars are present on the MKV and not on the TS. Your previous post suggested the opposite but I could be reading it wrong. It is very bizarre. I've been using TsMuxer to convert MKV files to TS for play back on my DP-S1. I was wondering if anyone has noticed that the resolution seems to change? That is, the MKV file has black bars top and bottom and the TS fills the screen and the picture appears to stretched up and down.

This was the reason I used to remux MKV to M2TS for network playback. Hardly ever had the issue with M2TS except when the bitrate got a bit high in heavy action scenes. So what is M2TS? If you are going to report issues with network functionality then you need to tell us about the network. Do I need a particular decoder to play ts files in windows media player? I thought all I should need is a DVD decoder. I am sure I have played them before but today they just wouldn't play. Keep getting codec error.
Thanks

I may have read this wrong but is it possible to lose recordings when upgrading to 261?
Maybe it is some other problem but a recent post I read talked about the risk of losing recordings when upgrading. I just wanted to double check!
