Re: What's going on with support?
Hmmm … I’m not finding that particularly confidence-inspiring in terms of continuing to “evangelise” Beyonwiz purchases amongst my friends/family/colleagues who ask (and I know I’ve generated quite a few sales over the years as many of us on here no doubt have). Hope everything is ok with Jai and th...

Re: USB Tuner on U4 fail
Thanks peteru for your expert input on the subject.
I guess I'll just largely ignore what the S/Q meters are saying, except when issues occur and they become useful for trouble-shooting, and enjoy the fact it all seems to work pretty much trouble-free (touch wood).

Re: USB Tuner on U4 fail
The Sony tuner is fed off the same splitter but never show anything other than S = 50-68% range, and never shows anything other than Q = 0%, so I'd always assumed this was a "glitch" of not using approved tuners. Some tuners provide the information, some don't. It's not an "approved&...

I shutdown, tried my 2nd USB Sony Play TV tuner. Same result (S value of 68, Q value of 0). Update: Channel scan using the USB Sony Play TV tuner doesn't find any channels (0 channels found). Update: I also tried going from the antenna cable -> direct into the USB tuner, as well as the default ante...

I hadn't even thought that someone would have a radio user bouquet like Favourites set up. Re: Request for updates for channel picons
For the V2 only, it needs to be on the beta feed to receive the updates. For the T/U-series, at the moment both the 19.3-series production and beta feeds are being updated. Yes, no update yet for T4 nor U4 when I checked. Thanks, that was my understanding - but thought I'd lost the plot (yet again)...

Re: Request for updates for channel picons
The problem will probably now resolve itself, at least for people on the beta feed. An online upgrade to firmware 20190913 became available overnight. It contains the latest picon setup. Slightly confused - I thought (for my U4) I didn't need to be on the beta feed at the moment to get updates beca...

AKAIK, they really are actual movie files in that they can be animated if you want them to. I think the Beyonwiz logo files are just a single frame movie. How does one go about making these .mvi files if one wanted to change the screens and put a bootlogo.mvi or a backdrop.mvi into the /etc/enigma2 directory? Googling the .mvi extension doesn't shed much joy ... most references are to it being a "movie command file used by AutoCAD" which doe...

Re: Is it possible to get more info from Ice EPG on shows?
Do you mean your screen for The Piano? The IceTV data has credits on only about 1/3 of the entries (in an about year-old data capture). That's shows with any credits, cast or director. Yes, I was directly comparing the screen shot from @Grumpy_Geoff for The Piano to my screen for the same show yest...

Re: How to mute tv while in Media mode (T2)
I'm not aware there are ramp times. I'd rather not add them. Fair enough, what I am hearing is a pretty abrupt almost "cut" when the mute cuts in, and a quickish fade up when you unmute. That must just be what is built into the Mute function anyway I guess? Anyway, thanks for listening an...

Re: Is it possible to get more info from Ice EPG on shows?
Restart the GUI (or reboot) as the box will then fetch the EPG. Alternatively, disable IceTV, bring up the EPG and observe it's empty, then re-enable IceTV and 'Fetch EPG and update tImers now'. Yep, done all that, and IceTV is definitely working ... I can see it has different info to the DVB EIT i...

You can now configure it from the main PLUGIN screen, as well as from BLUE. In addition to enable/disable, there's options to control the mute icon and the volume bar. Nice one!
