Although my 3 Wizzes all supported ISO playback I found that it still wasn't 100% reliable so I eventually transcoded them to mp4 using Vidcoder (http://vidcoder.codeplex.com/). It was quite painless actually and I batch encoded quite a lot of ISO's over a few nights.

Delete recordings via WizPNP?

Is it possible to delete recordings stored on one Beyonwiz from a second Beyonwiz? (ie if I've just streamed a recording from the Living Room wiz to the Study wiz and I've finished watching it, can I delete it using the Study wiz)

This is all assuming that all they want is the video and audio. This won't preserve closed captions. Just tried downloading a recording using WizZilla (as a single TS file) and then streaming to an iPad via Air Video. Very simple and works great. Skipping ads is a bit painful though due to the need to rebuffer when you slide the timer across.

IMHO there are not enough hard buttons. I've got a Harmony One which I think is great - lots of hard buttons. The problem with the soft buttons is that you need to actually look at the remote to use it, ie you can't "feel your way".

I upgraded my DP-S1 from 301 to 320 a couple of weeks ago and have noticed that it seems a little less stable now. A few times the DP-S1 has locked up on the fileplayer file list and I needed to power off the unit to make it work again (not at the wall, just using the remote). I never got these lock...

I also have noticed a lag when opening the fileplayer, when using the 301 firmware. It's only a little annoying, but definitely noticeable compared to earlier versions. I don't think I have ever had a lag when selecting the HDD though.

I updated to .017 and it has appeared to fix the audio issue. I didn't notice any degradation in picture quality.

I rang Beyonwiz this morning and explained the audio dropout problem. They emailed me a new firmware straight away (1.07.017). I'll report back when I get home to try it out.

I'm using the Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers. You can get them for around $400 and you won't need a separate amp either. I chose this because I didn't really have room in my entertainment unit for an amp. Bang for buck, these have been great.
