Part of the cause it seems is the ambient heat generated both within and without. I don't think you would shun Beyonwiz because a capacitor blew. I contacted warkus, and he asked me to send some photos of the power supply. From this he identified a blown capacitor, and advised me to remove the PSU and send it over to Perth which I did. It came back a few days later, I reassembled the unit (he gave me detailed instructions and if I can do this...

We usually keep our DP-P2 on all the time. Today I turned it off, then off at the wall plug because our mains supply was being turned off.
