Netgear DG-834G set to WPA fails after the usual 6 minutes. Switching to WEP solves the problem. This is in contrast to the DLink DIR-655 which operated (reasonably) reliably in WPA.

Hi NPR, Under 2 minutes Ian. If it was close to 2 minutes then the file should have been big enough to be playable. I think this may be related to the stat file issue. DP-P1. Absolutely. If you really need the wireless, simply add a wireless network client. Otherwise, the DVD is simply not worth the extra $. The P1 looks better too.

The lack of networking will mean it is not a replacement for the BW or Topfield but of course marketing will mean it's sales will outdo them both. Philip Isn't that a LAN port to the right of the HDMI slot? It is. I wonder if it will simply enable the advanced bluray features, or allow NAS hookup...?

Performance of 2.0-2.4 MBytes/s is no better than what can be achieved with a 802.11g device connected to the Ethernet port. The limitation appears to be in the DP-?1.
