Following my warranty claim for my non-working V2, The Dept of FairTrading contacted me and it seems they can't contact Beyonwiz.
I think they are out of business.

Sorry Peter, I meant to say 'connect the T4 to the V2 hard disc permanently, and also leave the V2 hard disc plugged in to the V2'. That would give the T4 and the V2 access to the hard disc all the time.

As I cannot get my faulty V2 replaced by Beyonwiz, I hope to try a workaround. Yet more good news. My dropout problem is now fixed! (fingers crossed).
The problem was an intermittently faulty HDMI cable! It checked many times, but only showed up when bending the cable back and forth near the terminal, and the TV picture & sound dropped out.

I've tried a few more re-flashes, but no luck - same response - nothing.
I have checked the ethernet cable and it works with other devices.
My firmware is the latest 20211010.
I'm not sure where to go from here

I guess by 'reflash' you mean download the latest firmware onto a USB stick, plug it into the T4 and 'reflash' the firmware?
Will this delete my saved recordings?

I have no "Network Interface" in my Network headings. I have 'network adaptor selection' and 'Password' directly below.
Your suggestion of a USB /ethernet adaptor looks good - I presume I just plug it in and attempt to co0nfigure it in 'Network Settings' ?

Just confirming - when I press the TV out button on my T4, I see nothing on screen.
By "TV out button" I presume you refer to the top left hand button on the remote next to the power button ?
Is there a way of trying different resolutions in the Menu?

Hi Blot. Setting C as 'preferred' tuner gives a picture. Same as setting A or B.
I have set both 'recording tuner' and 'live TV' tuner to 'auto'.
This has helped a little. However, I am still missing recordings - they show up on the recorded list as '0 minutes' in duration.

Using the port the V2 was using doesn't help.
I can't find a way of reducing the resolution, but I'm still looking.
Same goes for turning off 'advanced mode' - I'm still looking.

My six week old V2 is behaving very unpredictably. It will occasionally lock up - no response from remote. Solution is to reboot. It will miss 'some' scheduled recordings - either nothing on the recording list or "0 mins" shown on recording list. Usually 1 or 2 lockups or missed recordings...

On my T4, the program guide is now missing ( ie not populated).
This occurred after it reset itself to daylight saving this morning.
I use Ice TV.

I turned on my T4 but it came up with 'Ice TV' and hung.
I rebooted a few times and it gets to 100% then asks 'password'.
It will not move forward past this point.

My T4 is now going. Thank you to all of you. My problem was that 'network adapter selection' was not populated. So there was no access to setting up wired or Wi-Fi. 'Restart Network" left the system hanging, requiring a re-boot. 'Network Test' showed all 5 lines blank - no IP address, DNS etc. ...

The problem is 'fixed' or has gone away.
I re-sent timers from both ends. Maybe that helped.
I suspect that it was a 'glitch' and a full power down, a good telling off, and a 'resend timers' may have done the job.
