Are PVRs like Beyonwiz a dead market?
Not that I consider Smarthouse a completely reputable authority, but this article has me concerned: http://www.smarthouse.com.au/Home_Cinema/Industry/M4U8N9K9 Could this mean that a new Beyonwiz PVR is not going to eventuate? I'm actually hoping for a more recent PVR with the BW capabilities, may ha...

I would agree with you except that the big shows are also simulcast on the SD versions of the channels, thus achieving mass market saturation. The networks are currently restricted on how many channels, and how much bandwith, they can use, so it makes no sense for them to waste a channel on simulca...

What exactly is the DP-Lite?
Saw a pile of boxes in JB with the model number DP-Lite on them, stating 500gb HD and a 'simplified' set of features.

Timers sent without names
In the last week, several of my IceTV timers have been sent without names, just an * with the channel name.

I think you'll find the reason you're getting the error is that the podcast download is not completing (it's hard to tell since no feedback appears if the download is complete), that's why I started the thread in question. The unsupported format is a standard wiz error for just about any file error,...

Podcasts won't complete
I cannot download any podcasts to my wiz - they start, but stop after a short time, and the files won't play, they say unsupported format. I have my Wiz connected to an Airport Express to my router, which is then connected to my ADSL modem. The wireless signal is excellent, and nothing else is using...

I get the unsupported format error as well, and I believe it's because the download is not completing (the bar never gets to the end) and the file is therefore corrupt. I was able to successfully download a shorter podcast (2 min) and play it, but anything longer will not complete and play. Could th...

I think the beta testers are copping too much flack, and I don't believe that is the problem anyway. All this asking for firmware seems odd to me, since I'm sure Beyonwiz wants to get it as bug-free as possible before release. It seems that its wanted quicker, but users will not be happy if it doesn't work properly, probably due to inadequate testing time. There are complaints about the time spent ...

I just got my Beyonwiz DP-P1 a few weeks ago, and I'm having some issues which make me think of returning it, such as: 1. picture glitches/pauses (which didn't happen with my previous DSE PVR) which are infrequent but annoying. Doesn't seem to be related to signal strength or quality either, since a...
