Re: Unusual questions for T4 (API)
I see DNLA as YMMV - works for some and not others. I don't have too much trouble with it at the moment. Thinking some more about the T2's. If I put them in say three rooms with a T4 in the main room, can the T2's record on the T4's HDD (is that what the network record and playback means)? Does the ...

Re: Unusual questions for T4 (API)
Awesome, thanks for that. The APi gives me a lot of integrated functionality that I am looking for with my HA system so I am pretty stoked at that. DLNA advise taken on board. My preference is to use Kodi at some of the TV's which will allow me to connect via Samba or SMB to the T4 so that will take...

Unusual questions for T4 (API)
Hi all I am looking for a replacement for the Topfield 24x0 and the T4 appears to be the solutions I need. A couple of questions though. I saw a link in a post here that refered to Enigma2 API for posting a message on the screen . Are all the features of the API enables in the T4? I currently use th...

IR is not a solution unless ther eis no alternative. It does not work well for a media center. How do you program a set of IR codes to scroll down to a movie and press play - its not practicable As for the Toppy, I approached you to expand on this (the conceptual setup you sent me) for me but never ...

I haven't got the foggiest notion what this has to do with WizZilla, which is a program for copying recordings from the Beyonwiz to a PC. I have used this method for the topfield and the dreambox that I have I have stuck a board over the top of the box (double sided foam to give a small gap). The lack of networking will mean it is not a replacement for the BW or Topfield but of course marketing will mean it's sales will outdo them both. What would be really good is if Beyeonwiz released a USB satellite dual tuner with a cam slot. You could then record free to air sat TV, Select TV or even maybe Austar straight onto the Beyonwiz. Re: Suggestion - H1 with DVD drive
In my opinion a DP-H1 with a DVD type drive will be close to a DP-S1 so I don't really see the point. The P1 is even closer - yet they released it. While I agree that too many models can be a problem, they can all be the same "inside" so that firmware for one will work for all and then pr...

That should definitely always be an option for future advancements in DVD drive technology or for additional hard drives, but for the clean look and for simplicity, a built in would be better (IMO). Can any of the BW's be controlled by a PC, or is it on a list for a future upgrade. If you have three P1's (or a mix of BW's) do each of them connect separately to the ICETV service for their epg, thus downloading the same info three times, or can you save it to a file on the network and each of them connect to the local file and update from there. Supported Files
I have read the forums, but I cant find a concise list of supported files.
Can the BW play topfield .rec files?
Can the BW play dreambox .ts files?
I beileve it can play DIVX, ifo (DVD) and of course its native format.
What else?
