Re: U4 Remote Replacement needed
The Sofabaton seems to be the only remote I can find that supports the BW. I have now ordered one. The One-for-All remote is commonly sold via JB HiFI and other similar retailers. It is considerably cheaper than the Sofabaton. However, their support team has told me the BW is not supported. I contac...

Re: U4 Remote Replacement needed
Thanks prl. My BW remote works well enough to get into settings. We are probably pretty harsh on remotes as we record everything we want to watch and skip through the ads etc all the time. The skip buttons etc are the ones that don't work all that well on the BW remote. I emailed the Sofabaton suppo...

U4 Remote Replacement needed
The U4 remote became clunky a long time ago, so I bought a Harmony 650. Tonight that died also. The U4 remote is no longer available through BW and the Harmony remotes are no longer made. As a last resort I used the BW app on my phone but when I went to put it onto my wife's phone from Play Store I ...

Hi Guys I went ahead and bought the booster from Bunnings and it has helped a lot. I have further fiddled around and by using a 2-way splitter and connecting the TV ...

Re: U4 reception issues
I contacted TV Magic and they got back to me this morning. They are saying if Channel 10 is okay on the TV and not the PVR then it is either a faulty cable or faulty PVR. So, I swapped the cables from the TV and the BW and still no difference. That says to me it isn't the cable. I had an old Topfiel...

Hi Peter Yes, TY Magic is a typo. Should be TV Magic. I will see about getting them to come and have a look, but I doubt they will be familiar with the BW as such. Re: U4 reception issues
I did some research, and it seems Brisbane TV is both UHF and VHF.
According to TY Magic who came out last time we had reception issues our Suburb is classed as Medium Line of Sight to the transmitters.
Since they came last time, we have had good reception until now but only on Ten.

Hi I have had some random odd recording issues when the recording was massively pixelated, but it seemed to have images from 2 channels. Update; If you have a monitor with a hdmi input, plug the u4 into that to rule out a port problem. I didn't have another screen with hdmi input but we bought a new TV and it works with the BW. I suspect that the cable from the BW to the Samsung TV was plugged into the hdmi input port of the BW. When...

Can't get U4 to connect to 32" Samsung TV
Our big Panasonic TV has died, so I connected a small Samsung TV to the BW but there is no HDMI detected. I have tried reboots of the BW, changed the HDMI cable, tried the TV out button on the remote and can't seem to get a connection. I found this forum post: https://www.beyonwiz.com.au/forum/viewt...

Mr Quade If your U4 is set to a fixed 50Hz display refresh rate, then anything recorded at 60fps will look jerky... My recommendation is that you ensure that your U4 video output refresh rate seeing is set to "multi" I have checked the refresh rate and it is set to 50Hz. So that explains w...

Re: U4 HDMI recording advice
You should be setting the recording to the same framerate as the content you are feeding into it. If the content is coming from a laptop, then it is likely to be 60fps. If you are recording 60fps (or even 24->60fps content) at 50fps, then you will get all sorts of choppy results. Thanks MrQuade. I ...

I've never had any problems with the TV connecting before.
I will try pressing OK on the remote and see what happens.
I just had the thought to check via OpenWebIf.
The firmware is beyonwiz 19.3.20191106 (19.3-273-g6f501ae) so hopefully the process will continue without issue.
