Post the log from MediaInfo of one of the problem files and I will and others will take a look. Basically to get started load a file into avidemux and if it comes up with a message saying the file is "packed do you want me to unpack it?" Do so. Avidemux will then unpack and change the vid...

All you need to do is process them with Avidemux or AviRecomp - both free and quick and no degradation of the image and yes Xvid and Divx are "avi's" After having lots of problems trying to watch Arthur over the network, I copied to a USB stick and plugged that into the front port on the P...

Thanks guys for all your replys. Next time I get a problem, I'll try shutting down and restarting before trying it again. (Unless recording at the same time)
I'll also give Avidemux a go too. Thanks again.

Thanks Madmax and Ian,

All fixed. :D

As you suggested, I deleted channels 1, 10, 11, 12, 350 & 351 then did a partial scan for channel 11 only.

Thanks for such a great forum. Your help is very much appreciated.

Cheers,
Richard.

Hey guys, I have a DP-P1 running 01.05.334 firmware using ICE TV. I live in metro Adelaide and did a partial scan from channel 6 to 36 to pick up new channel eleven. Scan picked up 3 new channels: Channel 44 on channel 44 (fairly normal i guess) OneHD on channel 350 (already watching OneHD on channe...

Me too, now. Anyone got any idea what the grey queued series recording icon is? Hi Peter, I have one of those against a series recording for House on Wednesday nights and have it set up to record first runs only and I know that tonights episode is a repeat. Maybe it is grey to let you know that it ...

Doesn't have to be long - 15 minutes is most likely enough, as long as the Wiz wasn't on and communicating with IceTV shortly before. There are limits on how often the two will talk to save overloading the servers. And obviously you need to think about when you are likely to want to create timers a...

Please read the many tips here regarding ICE. The WIz in standby is well and truley not powered up. So no network connection means no way of getting ICE updated. The best way to accommodate setting timers on the fly from the net is to setup a daily wakeup timer at some time of the day that won't di...

First test of Ice Interactive didn't work?

Hi All, Just signed up for the 30 day free icetv trial to use with my P1 which is connected to my router via ethernet cable. I set up username and password on wiz and everything started to work. Noticed that ABCHD wasn't populated in guide so ticked the box in ICE account "copy SD to HD" w...

Circular Arrow Key on Harmony 525

Hi all, I have been using a Harmony 525 with my P1 for some months now and really like it. The only button I have not been able to set up properly is the circular arrow key (just to the right of the 4 directional buttons on the BW remote. Used for backspacing when entering file names etc). I can't f...

POTC - DMC is 150 minutes according to http://imdb.com/. That makes the average bitrate for your movie about 33000 * 8 / 9000 = 28Mb/s, which is about double the bitrate of a highest bitrate HD broadcasts in Australia. I think the chipset might be struggling.[/quote] Thanks Peter, you are correct. T...

Hi Peter, This particular movie was Priates of the Carribbean - Dead Mans Chest. I have copied that file to my computer and the only program that has any sucess playing it is Medai Player Classic. Even then the audio is a bit iffy and way out of sync with the video. I will check out the length of th...
