Thanks.
That's the email address I sent my message to, and also through the messaging form on their website. I wonder why they're not replying.

Cannot reach NASA Electronics re T4 repair
Hi I'm trying to reach NASA Electronics to ask about replacing the voltage regulators in my T4. They don't advertise a phone number, so I sent the, several emails last week but have received no reply. Are they still in business, and does anyone have a phone number for them (if so, please put a messa...

Re: T4 - Tuners A/B have died
Thanks for all your detailed explanations. I've just started having these problems and some brown substance affecting nearby components. Pictures: https://www.screencast.com/t/r0TJaaE2 I'm a bit nervous about the 'full' repair of replacing the regulators given that we're talking about surface mount ...

Re: T4 picture freezing - file corruption?
Thanks. Where can I find info on a repairer who is familiar with the T4 and who has access to the service manual (to determine the type and rating of the voltage regulators, etc.)? Also, do you think it would be worth fitting a couple of 50mm fans to the inside of the lid , running them off the powe...

Re: T4 picture freezing - file corruption?
Ok, I opened up the T4 and had a quick look. This is what I found: https://www.screencast.com/t/gQEvQFiee A bit of a shocker: the lump of used chewing gum, er, 'thermal cement' has not been applied very carefully or accurately so I'm not sure what kind of a job it is doing in conducting the heat awa...

Re: T4 picture freezing - file corruption?
Thanks for all replies above. I'm in a multi-storey apartment building with a common antenna and I'm pretty sure the signal levels are OK (we are line of sight to Mount Dandenong) . Is this condition with the regulators typically due to overheating? I think the first thing I will do is take the cove...

Re: T4 picture freezing - file corruption?
Hi Peter Thanks for your reply. I'll try a disc check. Just to clarify something. In your answer you said:| You can certainly copy files off the T4 using FTP or Windows sharing while the T4 is in use watching TV or recordings. I assume that this means it should be able to record (or even make severa...

T4 picture freezing - file corruption?
Hello I have a T4 with the software updated as of about a year ago. I'm finding that sometimes, during playback of something have recorded, the following can happen: - picture pixellates for a few seconds, either in patches on the screen or across the whole image OR - picture freezes (unpixellated) ...

Re: T2 - How to use with Android app
Thanks.
Just to be clear... I want to control it via the internet, including reading the free e.g, setting timers etc., when I'm in another country on holiday.
Is that possible?

Re: T2 - external USB hard drive max capacity, etc.
Hi Thanks for your reply - very helpful. A couple of follow-up points: A) How would I create a symlink? B) For additional storage, I don't see a network and another computer as being the solution due to the power consumption of a typical PC (not very green and hundreds of dollars per year in electri...

T2 - How to empty Trash
Hi I've got about 100 GB of stuff in the Trash folder, but can find no way to empty it and make the space available for recording. If I navigate to the the Trash folder, there is a soft button (red?) designated as being for emptying it. Pressing it looks like it has worked, but the storage allocatio...

T2 - external USB hard drive max capacity, etc.
Hi I have a T2 (bare bones) fitted with a 1.5 TB internal HDD which is now 80% full. I'd therefore like to expand with an external USB HDD. I'd be grateful for any advice on the following: 1. What is the max size of external USB HDD which the T2 can support? Will it work through a (powered) USB hub ...
