1st "custom" plugin I have installed (IceTV doesn't count as I've got it through plugin manager) and - for my usage pattern at least - it works like a charm.
Hope to upgrade to the prod version and hope the upgrade process won't be very complex.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Auto Timer title entry and Keyboard
Thanks a lot for the answers. I did read the AutoTimers guide, but was not able to determine how to use that text field without the on screen keyboard; your answers explain that (never been good in using SMS-style entry but I think I can learn that). May I please also re-ask: if T4 support wireless ...

Auto Timer title entry and Keyboard
Hi all, Hope I can get help some help with the following: 1) I'm getting used to use T4 auto timers (instead of IceTV timers). So when I see a show in EPG I'd like to record as the series I select it and press Auto Timer button. It takes me to the screen with 4 (if I remember correctly) check boxes ...

I hope the update does fox the rewind problem. Interestingly enough I have not encountered rewind problems with recorded shows, but when I watch videos from NAS I can not basically rewind back using any of the buttons - either << or <<| . Is that something that can be looked at? Many thanks

My post is likely to belong to the "captain obvious" category, but I'd like to share my findings summary just in case (as I believe the is a room for improvement): 1) I do get timers with empty titles from time to time. 2) At least at the beginning - when I was monitoring the timer list an...

Re: T4 as a video player
Make sure you buy the HDMI splitter. What you are seeing is HDCP DRM in action. Content on the Chromecast is copyright and is "protected", so video is not available. The splitter will fix this limitation, hence my recommendation. Sorry MrQuade, I was not ignoring your suggestion; perhaps ...

I think the sentence may be missing some important words between "action" and "execution". I can't really work out what the question is. Apologies, what I meant is: If I set up a reboot timer (say, reboot UI) with the "after-event" action of "go to standby" (...

Online update for T4
Hi all,
I have applied the latest USB update (04112915) when I have got the T4 couple of week ago... Now it is telling me there is an online update available.
Should I install it or wait for the USB release?
Thanks

Yes, probably only the Harmony side only, but I took the safe path.
Mid December for the new firmware if I read this right. I hope it will be public, not beta eventually.
Thanks again.

When I watch the recorded show, there are 2 purple vertical markers on the timeline (when it is visible). Do they represent start and end of the actual recorded show vs. the total recording including padding?
Thanks

Re: T4: Migrating from Humax
Yes, padding works in the normal fashion. It is applied when you create the timer rather than when the timer fires though. The T series treats padding fairly simply in that it just makes the timer longer rather than keeping track of what part of the recording the timer and what is padding. This is ...
