If I can't connect to the internet by wifi,
I think if I use the EPG (not ICETV) then we can still record programs in the old way.
This may be obvious but I am quite confused trying to get the wifi connected, Perhaps I don't need to?

I am able to take the T4 to another location with ethernet this week so I will up date the firmware and test the WIFI. Then I will see if it works.

A whole lot of disruption to network and update to T4s.
We seem to loose the linking connection.
Network very stable now.

I have two T4s one in each room.
I would like to be able to find and play movies from the remote T4.
Both units are on the same wired network.
When I select ‘location’ I don’t see the option of the other T4.
I would be very grateful for some guidance.

As an observation both T4s have miniDLNA activated.
On “fing” the miniDLNA Servers have one number e.g 10.0.1.9
And the beyonwiz another e.g 10.1.1.14
It was the miniDLNA Server numbers which worked.

Now it may have just been accidental but it is all working.

I did not realise I could change the ‘description’ name in the set up.
It also needed the two settings which I got from ‘fing’ E.g IP address 10.0.1.9

In the setup it may be a good idea to give each T4 a simple unique name. It will make it easier to identify.

Yes clicking the red button a few times got the guide full and working.
I selected the Last Scan. (The middle choice)
But the LCN only has SBS!

The same iPad but I can selected either T4s. "shiva" or "shakti, one has a fully populated LCN tab the other only the SBS. The "last scanned" tab is fully populated on both T4s and current.
I can't get to the T4s at the moment, I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Since the updating of the EPG I only have SBS on the terrestrial TV LCN list.
On the last scanned list I have all the channels.
This is most noticeable on my iPad as I use IceTV on the T4 and that seems to be correct.
I am not sure how to correct this.
It is okay on the other T4.

Up down buttons worked until I got to media/a recording/menu - I could not scroll down the list for my editing choices.
I don't quite know how this can be fixed. I am reluctant to keep turning the T4 off an on. Any solutions on the horizon? It must be annoying quite a few customers.

It was unresponsive but the tuners were feeding into the TV.
I turned it off and on the reboot the T4 was normal

I have successfully dragged m4v movies from iMac to the T4 HD where they can now be viewed on a tablet and with subtitles on the VCL player. Subtitles not available in WizOz - drat!

We are very happy with the way the T4 are pulling everything together on the network.

Yes, just confused - too many choices - not sure of the implications.
But it seems good to enable IceTV and enjoy. I can always disable it.
I have since found out my wife had IceTV enabled as well.
No response necessary.
