Re: Cannot record more than two shows

Good point, just my Kingray is upstairs, at smart wiring Central Control Panel and away from the theatre; that's because I needed signal boosting at all outlets around the house.

But will think of alternatives to get around daisy chaining...

Re: Cannot record more than two shows

Hello Mr Quade, just to clarify, the Kingray is in the Smart wiring Central Control Panel upstairs, improving the whole house signal quality, which was really nice. One output straight out of the Kingray via quad shield RG6 goes directly to the theater room, through a wall plate and F connectors, vi...

Re: Cannot record more than two shows

Great news. Got the Kingray 4-way powered splitter from Jaycar Midland (WA) at price match: took a while as they had to get regional manager approval; they had it for $99, against the $55 at Selby. Thankfully, Selby being a real shop (not just an e-tailer) they matched. I now have optimum signal qua...

Re: Cannot record more than two shows

Thanks all for the helpful replies and guidance. Upon investigation, whilst there were no active recordings, I found both Tuner C and Tuner D (USB) reported TUNER FAIL on all networks. I now understand why occasionally some recordings were listed at "0MB": they were obviously fired on Tune...

Re: Cannot record more than two shows

Thanks gents. I will proceed with tuner troubleshooting this arvo, but as we have cable I thought the signal would be quite strong; could always try connecting the antenna cable directly to the USB tuner first, then daisy chain the others. Would that be a good workaround for the USB tuner signal req...

Cannot record more than two shows

Hi all. Firstly let me state I have used PVRs for many, many years, and in the past I have had Topfields record three or four shows (of course from two networks). I now have upgraded to a T3 with the additional USB tuner, to see if I could really record four streams. Since buying the T3 I never had ...

Re: T3 plays 'em all - so far...

Ok, first things first. The rebooting loop I may have discovered the source of the continuous reboot loop: the USB Tuner that was thrown in the deal from BW. After the flashing of the newest public image, the booting started again, so I went back to basics and unplugged Cat6 and USB Tuner; the booti...

Re: T3 plays 'em all - so far...

Well then, provided the reboot is fixed by the latest FW, I've got my homework laid out learning to work with NFS...

Thanks for the advice, may need to come back for some help, do you per chance have any good, easy to follow, guides to do what is required?

Cheers
Paul

Re: T3 plays 'em all - so far...

Thanks to both, will flash the new firmware just released this afternoon when home tonight. The NAS is a Netgear ReadyNAS with DLNA, SMB and a few other protocols, but have not set it up on T3 as such, just navigated to it using the remote to view all the videos organised in directory on the NAS sha...

Re: T3 plays 'em all - so far...

Thanks MrQuade Should have mentioned the NAS is visible and fully accessible by the Samsung Smart TV, selecting the DLNA input "NAS": all files play seamlessly on the TV, which would naturally exclude any access issues on the NAS; I have however verified that all permissions are open on th...

Re: T3 plays 'em all - so far...

Hi All I am sure I am missing something really simple and really basic, but my new T3, hardwired to the LAN, can see the NAS, navigate through all it's folders, but when it comes to playing ANY file, it stalls at 0:00 and does not do anything at all. This is with .avi, .mp4, .m4v, .mkv. It opens the...

Re: ICE-TV Update causing crash

Glad to report that the upgrade to the latest beta plus a quick online update seems to have fixed the IceTV update issues. I now get a correctly formed IceTV log with mention of all updated timers. Also placed a call to IceTV tech who confirmed nothing wrong at their end, but noticed all the fixes f...

Re: ICE-TV Update causing crash

Ok Peter, will do that tonight. Just wonder about the numerous bug reports on the suggested beta release... At present, I cannot playback any .mkv file located on our networked NAS: it accepts it, but does not progress from 00:00:00, it just sits there forever. Will the beta resolve this or give me ...

Re: ICE-TV Update causing crash

Happened here too. Think it's an IceTV problem, but started during chase play. Here's what happened: 1. Started playback of a previous recording whilst the T3 was recording two shows. 2. Started chase play to get to where I wanted to start watching. 3. T3 suddently goes black screen and "Reboot...

Re: HDMI problem?

Cheers Peter I remember you helping me out a few years back on the original Toppy forums... ;-) Would not pay much, get my stuff from PC reputable retail shop here in Perth, they have good quality cables for a fraction of the Hardly Normal of the world! Away for work for a couple days, will get back...

Re: HDMI problem?

Good idea, thanks! Have tried the network update (none available) but just found a new FW on Samsung Australia; good try with the model number, mine is a PS59D550C1M, so made sure I got the right one! Just initiated the upgrade to the Sammy's Firmware via USB. I will also buy an HDMI 1.4 cable to se...

Hello Mr Quade

No, the amp is purely for sound, all my video connections are direct links with high quality HDMI 1.3 cables.

HDMI problem?

G'Day All New to Beyonwiz so bear with me, please. My trusty 4 year old Toppy 7100HDPlus started skipping whilst recording, tuners signal issues, so took the plunge and bought a Barebone T3 and plugged in a WD NAS Red 3TB drive; installation was a breeze with no major problems so far, even IceTV too...
