Wow, thanks for the telly’mote suggestion. Works so well. Loads even quicker then the Beyonwiz and you can search for recordings. Brilliant

Re: T3 to Mac transfer EXTREMELY slow after 19.3 upgrade
I just set a range of IP addresses for the DHCP server of my router and set the static IP addresses outside this range. Renewed all the leases of the devices and all seems to be working as expected. Don’t think I am ever going to get smb to play nicely with the T3 so just sticking with FileZilla for...

Re: T3 to Mac transfer EXTREMELY slow after 19.3 upgrade
I tend to think it is an smb issue. Having no issues now I am using ftp via FileZilla. I will study my network map and change the static IPs now though as I don’t want any future conflicts..

Re: T3 to Mac transfer EXTREMELY slow after 19.3 upgrade
Good point. I use a program called Fing to interrogate my network but always assumed DHCP recognised static IP addresses and avoided them. Googled it. Looks like I was wrong (again). Networks are not my strong point. I tend to learn by my many mistakes and build on my knowledge that way..

Re: T3 to Mac transfer EXTREMELY slow after 19.3 upgrade
I like the ftp via FileZilla solution documented by the expert contributors. Is rock solid so far and fast. Ftp has been around forever so is no surprise it works well. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it ☺️. I heard that you can also fiddle around with the smb config file but not game to tackle that opt...

Re: T3 to Mac transfer EXTREMELY slow after 19.3 upgrade
Looks like I will have to live with the fact that filezilla only copies instead of moving files. The files will still be selected in the panel after transfers so I should just be able to delete after successfully transferring a batch. If I accidentally deselect them is going to be a pain to find the...

Hi,
I am having troubles streaming from my T3 to iPad. I had it working once. It was streaming live TV but now it is back to the message of "Sorry! Cannot play the stream Please check your STB configuration". Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it?

Does anyone know whether the T3 supports Wake On LAN magic packets? I was using the web interface today and realised it was in deep sleep and had to press the remote to get it to boot up. I really want to be able to program from overseas by logging into my VPN.

Also I have managed to log into the hard drive off the T3 via my mac but I see a lot more files than the standard .ts one. It has .eit .ts.ap .ts.cuts .ts.meta and .ts.sc
Which one do I edit with in VideoRedo? Do I just copy over the main transport stream .ts file and discard the rest??

Hi, Is there any way to put the T3 hard drive into hibernation? I thought "deep sleep" was hibernation but that is like a full shut down. Only barely better than turning the power switch off. Standby. Is something like 23W which is way too much. If you put in deep sleep it takes ages to re...

Thanks everyone for the input. That should be enough info to bet my teeth into it. Was my first night with it last night and I couldn't get the ads out of a movie I recorded. You seem to know a fair bit about the T3 Simon so some more questions . What file format is the T3? Is it a transport stream? Can the DP series play T3 files? That sucks Simon. If I knew that I wouldn't have bought it. I now either have to transfer recordings to the DP series and edit or edit on the PC somehow. And the hard drive is going to fill up fast as I looked to pre and post pad. Surely they can make it edit like a DP series one..

So the idea is to get the raw files off the T3 and into the PC for editing? That might be better as you could use a timeline editor.
