Re: T3 dead... again

OK looks like the new power supply has done the trick. I've updated to 17.5. :) One quick question, I've enabled network access by setting the password, and Putty now has SFTP access, but launching an SSH session from the authenticated Putty session just gives me a black window, no prompt. Is that t...

Re: T3 dead... again

Half the time when you turn it on it stays at "Beyonwiz T3" and never progresses at all. You need a hardware repair then. From the look of the previous repair report you posted, you received a partial service that only replace the failed component on your T3's power supply. It is likely t...

Re: T3 dead... again

I gave that a whirl... But no difference. Half the time when you turn it on it stays at "Beyonwiz T3" and never progresses at all. But even with 'force' set, it will not boot off USB, and the log is full of: usb 2-1: new high-speed USB device number 5 using ehci-brcm hub 2-0:1.0: unable to...

Re: T3 dead... again

I've tried booting from two USBs, front and rear, 16.1 and 17.5. With all, it goes Beyonwiz T3... 2015 (date)... Booting... Loading... and ends up at a partially booted system. Log: Feb 5 20:49:53 beyonwizt3 user.info kernel: usb 2-1: new high-speed USB device number 7 using ehci-brcm Feb 5 20:49:55...

Thanks - II assume that you mean that "If the fresh flash from USB does NOT help, then a hardware fault is likely"?

I'll give it a try.

T3 dead... again

I had my T3 repaired in early 2017: Repair Details 1) Replace power CAP. 2) Upgrade system firmware. 3) Upgrade front panel firmware from 20038 to 20057. Very little usage last year, and before christmas it died again. On the machine, it appears to boot, "Booting..." then "Loading... ...

Re: ABC HBBTV - success

Just went into iView myself, yes a bit slow, bet seems to work ok. Bad news though, that upon exiting, the T3 froze  When you say froze do you mean you could not change channels etc but tv was happening ok ? I saw that it is possible to sometimes exit hbbtv to live tv but need an extra "e...

+1 and subscribing to this one, just lost a timer event due to this, set from OpenWebif. :(

Is the bug the same from all remote clients, i.e. Blackbox on iPad as well?

Re: Video " How to Enable Favourites"

Once I have my Favourited list done, which works great, thanks for the video :D, can you edit the numbers that it assigns to the channels? I have 1. ABC, 2. ABC2, 3. ABC3, 4. ABC24, etc.... when I would like them to be numbered as per 'normal', i.e. 2 = ABC, 7 = Seven, etc. Can that be done? If anyo...

Re: ABC HBBTV - success

ABC does nothing, and after a few minutes I gave up, and pressed exit to get out. The T3 display was showing hbbtv, but nothing on the screen over the ABC channel then playing. What it used to do, was to flash up a prompt, telling you to press the red button. It still expects that. So, if you selec...

Re: SBS HbbTV

I have got ABC hbbtv ok as I have posted elsewhere, but have the same issue as noted above for SBS - ad plays fine, show never does. I get three hbbtv options when on an SBS channel: SBS HBBTV - does nothing except briefly flash up a header about SBS Beta, then disappears NewApp - drops to a white s...

ABC HBBTV - success

I have been playing with ABC hbbtv on my T3, and thought I'd comment up here on the results. When going into the hbbtv menu (Blue button, then 4) on ABC channels, I get three options to choose from: ABC FREEVIEWPLUS IVIEW ABC does nothing, and after a few minutes I gave up, and pressed exit to get o...

Re: 'ondemand' plugin

OK, thanks Peter. I got the impression that this was where one came for help. :D

I tried the hbbtv, and ABC iView appears to work... although slow! which is a good step. That's probably going off topic for this thread, so will leave this one for now.

Re: 'ondemand' plugin

You might have wanted to do a search or a view of existing topics first as there are a number of topics already discussing this plugin and the fact it doesn't work. As to future development of it, you would have to ask the developers of it for that. For the T3 though there are alternatives. HbbTV i...

'ondemand' plugin

I installed the ondemand plugin, and the main thing that I wanted it for doesn't work - ABC iView. Is the plugin in active dev, or abandoned? I see some git work here: https://github.com/oe-alliance/oe-alliance-plugins/tree/master/OnDemand But not sure if that is the same dev stream or not. Funny, t...

Re: Overscan

Yep, found the setting on my TV... :)

Interestingly (and sort of related) when I had the output set to 60hz (in an effort to see if that improved playback of jerky AVIs) changing the OSD position and size had no effect. Change back to 50hz, and the OSD leaped to where the settings told it to be.

Re: AVI Playback - Problems

My new T3 does this, very disappointing to spend this much and find that I might need to convert all of my AVIs.

When every other device I have plays them fine, it does not go down well with the family.

Any sign of a fix on the horizon - do the devs read these forums?

Dreamplex - fwd / rew issues

I have the latest plugin installed on my T3, and it reads my plex server fine. But when playing a video, fwd or rewind doesn't work, just restarts the video from the beginning! Seems to be easier to just access as a folder over Samba, unless I'm missing something? Plex would be nice, the interface i...

Any way to reduce picture size, I have some overscan to my 46" plasma TV resulting in some lost text on for example rolling headlines ticker tapes. I have found how to change the size and position of the UI, but is there any way to underscan the picture size?
