No EPG for Nine Network

Hi Everyone and Happy Easter. I have searched here, and Google, and can't find any mention of this issue anywhere! I can't get any EPG for the Nine Network after 5.30am on Tuesday. It's not just a Wiz thing, as my TV EPG is the same. I'm thinking maybe just a local issue in Perth because of the lack of discussion anywhere? Maybe something to do with the recent hacking attack? But then you would think it would be everywhere not just here. Any thoughts from anyone?

They've gone on holidays a bit early because I noticed it a few days ago! Glad I'm not alone though! One of the TVs has Freeview and 9 is being populated on the TV Guide, but I believe that is independent of the networks? I never use it so don't know much about it. I do remember though that years ago during the Global Financial Crisis, one of the wags on the Toppy forum labelled the GFC as the Great Freeview Conspiracy!! Sorry, gone off topic a bit!

Yea, the Freeview guide is separate and is not sent on a per-broadcaster basis like the "properly free" EPG.

Well I ended up ringing Ch 9 and was told it is Australia wide and is because of the hacking. I'm surprised though, that if this is the case, no-one from anywhere else has said anything. Apparently they are really struggling and things are worse than I think has been reported. They have no internet and staff are all working from their mobile hotspots! The EPG issue is not expected to be fixed for at least another week.

Thanks for the heads-up Jan. That explains why some of our regular programs are shown in the EPG as being 1 hour out to what they should be after daylight saving change this morning (the FTA EPG on our part of the coast also only goes up to Tue arvo).

No EPG in the Hunter Valley too. Tried ringing a few times but it just rang out.

I suspected it might have something to do with the hack but I couldn't see how it was related. Anyway, I guess it will be up and running sooner or later.

Melbourne EPG finished yesterday. Completely blank today onwards. This is on both the Beyonwiz and direct TV so not a Beyonwiz problem. Surprised that I cannot find anything on Google.

IceTV is fine until Saturday here in Melbourne. Others go to Monday. FTA only has 9HD to Saturday. Rest of 9 channels are blank!

Is this still an issue ?
I've just come home after being away 4 weeks and I do not have an EPG for any of the Nine LCNs?
All other channels seem fine

The Nine EPG is there for all LCN's on my Samsung Q95

I've tried doing a manual Re-scan of channel 8, but no different
Also run the EPG Refresh

Any Suggestions?

The guide on your TV is fine, so there should be no issue for you.
Zap live TV to one of NINE's services, wait 30 seconds, then bring up the EPG.
If you still don't have any NINE guide data, try clearing the EPG cache - MENU>>IceTV>>5, then "6" (to enable and disable IceTV, clearing the EPG).
Then back to live TV and zap away from the NINE service to another provider (e.g. ABC), wait 30 seconds, then bring up the EPG.
Then zap to one of NINE's services, wait 30 seconds, then bring up the EPG.
Success? If so, then zap to one service from each remaining provider/broadcaster for a while to fill the EPG.

When I load the EPG all LCNs for the Nine Service are blank
I tried the ZAP (OK long press on 9HD from the EPG) it correctly switched me to the 9HD LCN.
When I reloaded the EPG again the 9HD and all other Nine LCNs are still blank.

However!! while watching the 9HD service if I press the Info Button I get a detailed program screen showing:
Start / End time
Duration
Title
Description
All the detail is correct for the program being shown.

I'm lost for ideas....

I know you don't use IceTV, you use the FTA guide.
What I posted is a method to clear out the EPG cache in case there's some crap data in there. The method enables IceTV - which clears out the EPG - then disables IceTV so you go back to using the FTA guide.

Just follow my method.
