Re: Connecting to a NAS source
We will need more info.
What sort of Beyonwiz are you using? A T4? What is the firmware revision date? (MENU->Information->About)
I will assume that you are trying to connect to a shared folder on the NAS, and that the NAS is sharing that folder with the SMB protocol (Windows Networking protocol).
Is the share password protected, or are anonymous users allowed to access it?
What happens when you open the Network Browser on the Wiz? Does it find the NAS? (MENU->Setup->Network->Network browser)
When/if you click OK on the NAS, does it list the available shares? (if the share allows anonymous access, you don't need to provide a username/password)
When/if you click on a share, does it let you create a mount point?
That'll do for starters....

Ahh good point.Grumpy_Geoff wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 18:53
The post is in the V2 Kodi section, so I was assuming that it's Kodi related
The Kodi plugin can use the normal V2 mounts though, so that's an option.
I have tried the native Kodi network mounts and they do work, but you can't browse the network.
If you want to use the native Kodi SMB functionality, you need to manually plug in the IP address of your server

Re: Connecting to a NAS source
Hi and thanks for your response,
Yes it is the V2 using the Kodi app- I can browse other network resources (i.e play recordings on the T4 in another room and connect from my pc to the V2 using openwebif, so that would exclude general connectivity issues ), ran a network check and comes back successful. I can login into the NAS box and it appears fine - Ran Kodi on a smart TV and connected fine, through NFS, share was visible. Noticed NFS was not enabled by default on the V2, enabled it and still no luck...

Re: Connecting to a NAS source
None of these proposed workarounds have worked - I can mount the NAS through the setup, but seeing it on Kodi is not an option.Grumpy_Geoff wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 18:53Ahh good point.

Re: Connecting to a NAS source
The native mounts are accessible via the local filesystem under /mnt/autofs
Just navigate to that folder when you are configuring your Kodi libraries.

Re: Connecting to a NAS source
You don't need to enable NFS on the V2. That is for the V2's own NFS server.

Re: Connecting to a NAS source
Thanks, make sense... regardless off that, the fact remains, that Kodi does not work for me when trying to add a source... disappointing.
