It wasn't really a big rush. I have a workable backup in the Huawei modem, but I am getting a bit sick of having to try to remember IP addresses to connect to things.

My line sync rate tends to be fairly stable for any particular modem at my end. But I've never tried to do regular tests to see what the variation is like.

I have a screenscraper lying around that I used ages ago to fetch line stats from an old ADSL modem, but it wouldn't work for the FritzBox.

My shiny new Fritz!Box 7590 has been delivered, installed, configured and updated (it was delivered with an older firmware version than I was running on my old 7390!).

It syncs at ~79Mb/s down, faster than both my old 7390 (~71Mb/s) and the Huawei (~75Mb/s), so it's a win-win there.

I had a bit of trouble with outgoing VOIP calls, which was eventually resolved by reading the Fine Manual.

I call that a big win :)

I was genuinely interested in whether other products would do what I wanted. Anyway, so far, I'm happy with my choice.

What is the FB reporting for the coneection to the DSLAM? If it shows G.993.5 it wil be vectored:

It's reporting G.993.2, so, as I suspected, iiNet's "Ultra Broadband" VDSL2 isn't vectored.
