I would like to welcome everyone to the Developers Community, this area is for advanced discussions by interested 3rd parties on improving the Beyonwiz products by patching or modifying the firmware to add new features or improve existing features. These modifications will hopefully lead to a range of software plugins, skins or patches being developed that will make the beyonwiz products even better than they are already. Developers will also have the opportunity to push changes to us officially where they can be tested and implemented into the main software based on demand.
For those of you who are a bit new to this or who are considering purchasing a Beyonwiz T-series PVR, these PVRs run on an Open source Linux based software called Enigma2 which has been used in PVR development for many years, I guess you can think of enigma2 sort of like Android, you have several manufacturers of Phones (e.g Samsung and Sony) that use the Android base software to build their own custom software over the top of for their mobile phones, enigma2 is similar based software for PVRs. Open source means that we published the source code that will allow users that are experienced in software development to build, modify and expand new and existing features.
Please note that the participants in this section and their projects are totally independent of Beyonwiz / Digital Trading Co, please note that any modifications that you make you do at your own risk and once you run any 3rd party modifications such as plugins and skins we may not able to fully support you with technical support or troubleshooting, you should always take that up directly with the 3rd party developer. In saying all that we will support wherever possible and you will not in any way void your hardware warranty by installing 3rd party software so go ahead and have fun
